Who We Are

 

The Carolina Cyclers, formed in 1964, is the premier cycling club in the Midlands of South Carolina. Centrally located in Columbia, we offer a variety of cycling-related activities. We are dedicated to the promotion of cycling and sponsoring cycling-related activities for the enjoyment of our members and guests.

 

Our main activities are the weekend and weekday evening rides sponsored by the club. There are rides Saturday and Sunday geared for cyclists of all experience levels, from novices to aspiring or practicing racers. There are also evening rides for those who like to take advantage of the longer daylight hours of the summer season.

 

Get a SHARE THE ROAD license plate and support the PCC.

 

 

 

Events and Meetings: Come to our monthly club meetings on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. The club now meets at Nick's House of Pizza, 1082 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia SC . Hope to see you there.   Eat well with your favorite beverage, tell stories about your recent bike adventure, hear crazy bike stories, plan your next bike ride, make friends, learn stuff about cycling, and more... If we change the date or meeting place, the change will be posted on the ride page calendar. Our president will be calling our monthly meetings at some other venues during 2015 and posting changes on the ride calendar. Overnight and Weekend Events: We don't just cycle in the immediate area. Occasionally we sponsor an out of town or weekend event. One tradition is the ride to Charleston and back. Several club members also participate in the many organized cycling rides in the area such as the popular Assault on Mt. Mitchell. We also organize camping/biking trips throughout the year.

 

Ride Policies

 

Carolina Cyclers rides are open to any rider, even if you are not a member. You should be able to ride the distance and terrain, and to handle minor problems such as a flat tire. You should wear a helmet and carry a spare tube and a pump. Come ride with us, we want you.
